The Gar-Duam Youth Development Association warmly welcomed their sons, daughters, and esteemed guests today for a fundraising appeal aimed at raising 20 million naira. The funds will support the completion of the Community Multi-purpose hall structure, a visionary project initiated by Hon. Dr. Danjuma Usman during his tenure as Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council.
The fundraising event was graciously hosted by Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, with the support of Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council.

The event invited distinguished guests, including Rt. Hon. Babayo Yusuf Adamu Gagdi and ND Shehu, among other notable figures whose presence was absent from the appeal fund raising.
Among the dignitaries accompanying Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman was esteemed Executive Chairmen from various Local Government Areas, including:- Hon. Hamisu Anani (ALGON representative) Wase LGC- Hon. Dr. Kemi Nicholas Nshe (Shendam LGC)- Emmanuel Bala Mwalpul (Mangu LGC)- Amalau Samuel Amalau (Bokkos LGC)

The fundraising event was graced by the presence of traditional rulers from various parts of Kanam Local Government Area. Women were also well-represented, while the youth, who formed the majority of the attendees, played a pivotal role as the driving force behind the fundraising initiative.

The fundraising appeal was spearheaded by Hon. Hamisu Anani, Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and Executive Chairman of Wase Local Government Council. In a remarkable display of generosity, he donated 300,000 each from the 17 Local (300,000 × 17 = 5,100,000) Government Councils, totaling 5,100,000. Hon. Anani also commended Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman, expressing admiration for his character, and extended gratitude to the traditional rulers and elderly persons for their role in shaping his values.
Rt. Hon. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel, represented by Chief Ephraim, contributed N1,000,000 to the Gar-Duam fundraising initiative. In his remarks, he pledged his ongoing support to the Gar-Duam youths, committing to provide assistance whenever needed, without prejudice.

Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, demonstrated his commitment to the youth of Gar-Duam by donating 1,000,000 to support the completion of the community multi-purpose hall. He assured them that this contribution is just the beginning, expressing his admiration for the peaceful and loving nature of the Gar-Duam community, and promising further support in the future.

Chief Ephraim Usman, the host and honoree, expressed gratitude to his community, acknowledging its peace-loving nature as a key factor in his success. He thanked his elder brother Hon. Danjuma Usman for laying the foundation of the community multi-purpose hall and for his unwavering support throughout his life.
He also extended his appreciation to the traditional rulers for their guidance and mentorship. In a significant gesture, Chief Ephraim Usman donated N3 million, bringing the total to N10 million. He noted that they had raised half of the 20 million target and appealed to the invited guests who were absent to contribute the remaining half if they can. If the target isn’t met, he pledges to complete the community multi-purpose hall project started by his elder brother. Long live GAR-DUAM Community Long live Kanam LGA Long live Plateau State.
