For an extended period, residents of Namaran Ward faced significant challenges in accessing clean drinking water. The community’s sole borehole frequently developed faults, forcing people to resort to hazardous water sources, which led to numerous cases of waterborne illnesses. Alternatively, they had to travel long distances to neighboring villages to obtain water.

In response to this pressing issue, the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, took the initiative to restore the community’s water supply through borehole rehabilitation. Using his personal funds, he successfully rehabilitated several boreholes in Namaran Ward, including:
- Kass Borehole
- Pukshi Borehole
- Namaran Bakin Kasuwa Borehole
- Pampugul Borehole
- Gobro Borehole
- Kafel Borehole
- Nahuta Dutsenkura Borehole

This borehole rehabilitation initiative aimed to enhance the community’s water supply, which had been severely impacted by prolonged drought conditions during both winter and summer seasons. The successful restoration of these boreholes has undoubtedly improved the lives of the people in Namaran Ward, providing them with access to clean drinking water and reducing the risk of waterborne illnesses.

The long-awaited moment finally arrived in Namaran community as the seven rehabilitated boreholes began gushing out water. The residents, who had been struggling without access to portable water for an extended period, rushed to fetch the precious resource. The scene was filled with jubilation as the people applauded the restoration of the boreholes in their locality.
The community expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, for his kindness and commitment to improving their lives. They wished him well in his political career, acknowledging his efforts in bringing relief to their community. The restoration of the boreholes has undoubtedly brought joy and relief to the people of Namaran, and they look forward to enjoying uninterrupted access to clean water. The community’s appreciation for the Executive Chairman’s initiative is a testament to his dedication to serving the people.
